Bird species identifier

Machine learning, Don Bosco KIITEC, Feb – May 2025

Upload a photo of a bird and the model tells you the species, whether it's migratory, and shows its habitat and conservation status. Built to support environmental and weather monitoring in Tanzania.

Bongo SMS scam detector

Machine learning and NLP

Paste an SMS and it checks for scam patterns in real time using two engines: a trained classifier and a rule set that catches suspicious links, USSD codes and money requests. The interface is in Swahili and the rules still work offline.

Waleki water monitoring

IoT and web, Oct – Dec 2025

Sensors on tanks and wells send water levels to a web dashboard. The usage data it collects is being used to train a model that predicts consumption.
